With the acquisition of EMMA Safety Footwear, located in Kerkrade, in 2020 Hultafors strengthened its position on the professional footwear market. In order to facilitate the integration of EMMA Safety Footwear, to further grow the footwear division and to take the HR agenda to the next level we are, on behalf of our client, seeking for a HR Manager Footwear (0.8/1 FTE) Result-oriented, decisive and ambitious people manager with a strong, contemporary HR vision
As part of Hultafors Group, Emma Safety Footwear (hereafter called Emma) aims to take significant steps in further professionalizing its HR processes in the coming years.
In this challenging new position in a rapidly developing and ambitious organization you report directly to the Hultafors Group CHRO (head office in Sweden). You will be a member of the Footwear Business Unit Management Team. Business Unit Footwear consist of two other brands; Solid Gear as well as Toe Guard. This means that your role covers various dimensions. You will address both HR challenges within the Emma organization and contribute to the further development of the Footwear Business. In addition to this, you will be the HR Manager for the sales organisations in the Netherlands, Belgium and France (in total approximately 50 employees).
Within the Emma organization you will be supported by a team of four HR colleagues. Emma’s production location is based in Kerkrade (120 employees).
As well as generic HR responsibilities, various specific themes will demand your attention in the coming years. Based on an integrated HR vision, these themes include organisational development, strategic personnel planning, competence development including leadership coaching, as well as implementation of the new HR system locally that will support the talent management process.
You will also guide the desired cultural change and integration of Emma into Hultafors Group, including the translation of corporate policies to the local situation.
In short, we offer a broad, challenging HR role where you can build and develop in an international context in which you will be able to make a huge contribution to the development of the entire Footwear Business Unit.
You work and operate at university degree level and have a contemporary vision on HR. You do not necessarily need to have ten or more years of management experience as we are particularly looking for people with the right ambition, attitude, and competencies. However, if you do have over ten years’ management experience, we would still be delighted to hear from you.
As well as HR expertise, you are able to easily connect with people, you make the right choices and are also able to implement these successfully. You are a generalist within the HR field, but also have expertise in employment law. Knowledge and experience in developing competence management and leadership development is also important. Expertise in working with HR software as well as e-learning is certainly a plus. Finally, you are a strong, honest, and reliable leader with a high level of independence, who feels confident in offering solicited and unsolicited reflection/advice to help the organization achieve the desired change.
Due to the team composition we have a slight preference for a female, although expertise and personality will of course be the decisive factors. As a result of the international nature of the role, a certain amount of travelling is expected with an average of once per month (post-Covid).
