Important in this position are the company’s own production facilities, where innovative products are developed and produced with the utmost of care. Jalema is uniquely qualified to produce high-quality products in a sustainable manner. Following on from its strategy to expand its portfolio with professional brands in the area of visual communication and office equipment, the T3L Group acquired 100% of the Dutch company Jalema B.V. on 1 July 2019.
The T3L Group, founded in 2008, has production locations in Denmark and France and is represented in more than 60 countries. Together, these companies offer an extensive collection of office supplies, signage and marking solutions, customer-specific and custom-made products, graphical solutions, shop fitting products, and industrial products. Key brands include Tarifold (display systems, filing solutions, and signage and marking solutions) and 3L Office (self-adhesive and indexing products). Probeco produces customer-specific and custom-made office supplies (ring binders, folders and covers, signs and displays, display systems).
As a consequence of Jalema’s takeover by the T3L Group, the board is looking for a CEO who will be given ultimate responsibility for the Jalema organization in Reuver and Hoogenzand. As CEO, you will provide direction and guidance within Jalema to: - Marketing Sales, - HR, - Business Control, - Production and Logistics (Reuver and Hoogenzand)- Purchase Business Office.
Each of these departments is directly managed by a manager who also forms part of your management team. You will start working with motivated and enthusiastic employees who are proud of working for the Jalema family company. Initially, you will first focus on the further optimization and professionalization of processes, systems, and procedures relating to production and logistics. You will share the task and responsibility of providing a boost to the existing culture which focuses on initiative, reflection, self-awareness, and ownership.
You will monitor the synergy within the organization and hold discussions with your managers to monitor the agreements made and make any necessary adjustments. As mentioned earlier, you will be working in a flat organization and deal with the employees and teams in a manner appropriate to a matrix organization.
As CEO, you will also hold regular meetings with the members of T3L’s Management Board. Their actions are based on responsibility, freedom, and trust. They will therefore give you the opportunity to manage Jalema in accordance with your insights and that of the organization.
Functie-eisenThe CEO of Jalema has experience from a manufacturing company (former background could be Plant Director within a Dutch or international manufacturing company with export). You are familiar with working within a production environment and also familiar with operating in accordance with the LEAN principles. You are familiar with the sensitivities and characteristics of a brand culture and know how to handle them effectively. Knowledge of and experience within a family-run company is an advantage.
As a people manager, you manage the team in a manner that is appropriate to a matrix organization. Experience with LEAN, ISO, and improving and optimizing existing philosophies is usual practice for you and you feel comfortable with these concepts.
As CEO, you play a major part in creating and maintaining a culture in which individual responsibility and ownership are key words. In addition to your background in production technology, you stand for clarity and decisiveness.
You are a commercial thinker from a generalist perspective and able to understand and challenge the sales strategy and commercial aspects of the sales processes. You possess an academic level of thinking and working in the area of manufacturing and have also acquired moulding and supply chain knowledge in the past. You must be fluent in spoken and written Dutch, English, and German.
You derive enjoyment and energy from thinking about cross-segment issues and wanting to manage the day-to-day operations and are able to demonstrate this across the organization.
