Assignment: Interim plant manager (implementation of Lean / Operational Excellence)
Context and nature of assignment: To bridge the period before the position could be filled permanently, our client needed an interim plant manager who, in addition to taking care of the day-to-day business, would implement professionalization measures in the field of Lean/Operational Excellence.
Over a period of twelve months, our interim plant manager worked together with the employees to gradually further professionalize the production process. Using 5S as a basis, followed by the preparation of the value streams, bottlenecks were identified and eliminated, stocks were reduced, quality levels were raised, and the results improved across the board. The first step has also been taken in the implementation of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance). By transferring knowledge and placing the company's own employees in the lead roles, the know-how has been secured and the organization can proceed independently with the continuous improvement of quality and efficiency.
